The December hues!!!

Nature seems to be unpredictable at times nowadays, especially when I got to see the drizzles in the month of November, the month which once used to be among the coldest some three to four  years back is now a month so balmy and mild with the slightest tinge of cold. Blame it to the rise in global warming, one of the significant factors of climate change, is all responsible for the change. Now, if you see it’s the month of December; more apt if I say mid- December that beholds the wild silent winter. As more and more the winter approaches to December, there’s more of a nip in the air, the chilling air that blows with every whip so refreshing.  But is the month of December only special for its chill aura that it embraces?  Or its way beyond the charisma it embodies?  Yes for some it’s way beyond and for some it’s all the same. For some it is just a month that eventually arrives with November bidding adieu. While for some it’s the month that frantically awaits one to embrace the coming New Year; to fulfill the unfulfilled; and to wrap up the imminent tasks of the present. Say about the foodies that only needs munching, the colorful winter attires of woolen cap, of scarves and sweaters, of jackets and elegant blazers, the aroma of the wood smoke is all that seemingly dominates the winter in December.

It not only gives the reason of winter arrival with the departure of autumn twilight, of the withered leaves that vows of growing stronger and brighter, of the chilling air that constantly with its every strike reminds of the cold, of the morning that still loves to hold on the rays of the beaming Sun, of the early dark evenings and lengthy nights; but concurrently it keeps pinning the fact that the present year is coming to an end, of the year that had been great for some and average for others, unforgiving for some and rewarding for others. But so far I feel, no matter how harsh your days were, how crucial some moments were, I’m sure enough that this 12th month of the year makes you regain the same energy that you initially invest when a new year begins. The frosty foggy atmosphere, the picnic fever, the get-together of families, of friends, of people, that pulls one into long conversations beside the winter fire blaze, chit-chats of sorrows and joy, of things achieved and lost, of the sweet memories that one always loves to treasure and of the soar ones that one should happily adieu is all that reigns the December. What’s more remarkable is when the celebrations are at its peak with the clinging of the jingle bells, of Santa’s good blessings, Yes I’m talking about the merriness of Christmas, the gateway to celebrations ahead. After Christmas, undoubtedly arrives the big fat marvelous 31st night. Ahoy! calls the incessant music, mouth watering foodies, the intonation of the fire crackers near and far, splendor and laughter, the shower of wishes , fun and happiness is all that echoes every nook and corner round the globe.

Very logical of the fact that it is only at the nature’s behest we see the change in seasons, and accordingly with seasons we see the change in its effect, so with its effects changes human choices to food, taste, behavior and their priorities. This month of December, for the ones who awaits till the 11th hour, at the drop of the hat just grab the wonderful opportunity yet waiting for you  to correct and re-visit those undone, untouched chapters of your duties that you haven’t yet unleashed and still holding it tighter with no loops within. So that the coming new year embraces the new within you and makes you gain the anew energy to fulfill your dreams you destined with.  While this December for the ones who eagerly waiting for the New year ahead, in the heat of the moment, beholding all the sweet memories and letting go off the darker aspects already experienced is just to forget and forgive and with all clean bold heart you are to move ahead with the unbreakable resolutions to fulfill the dreams you are destined with.

In the words of Hal Borland, “a year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us”. All the best, all my wishes!!!
